Did Alexander Graham Bell Steal the Idea for the Telephone? Wednesday January 2, 2008In a new book, The Telephone Gambit: Chasing Alexander Graham Bell’s Secret, author Seth Shulman reveals what he believes to be a deceptive plot regarding the invention of the telephone. Although it has long been known that both Alexander Graham Bell and inventor Elisha Gray both turned in patent applications without hours of each other for a telephone, Shulman argues that Alexander Graham Bell actually took an illicit peek at Gray’s notes and thus stole Gray’s idea. Shulman’s book, The Telephone Gambit, will be released on January 7, 2008. Comments (1)See All PostsShare
