AYP status does not replace the Accountability Ratings. Because 2003 is a transition year between the state-administered TAAS test and the new Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test, there were no new ratings issued for 2003. The new accountability system will be in place for 2004. For additional information about ratings, refer to the Accountability website.
