Nope, i dont think there was copyright back then.

No he didn’t, but I’m of the opinion that this was a direct result of either the lack of copyrighting laws or the lack of its benefits both monetarily and otherwise. Many composers of his calibre are more focused of the sharing of their art.

He didn’t and it was great of him. I’m against any copyrights and that’s why I respect all composers, musicians, scientists, engineers, artists who don’t claim copyrights. Nowadays it’s hard to find songs which are free to use. I know only this site Soundhills with a large library of royalty-free songs. Do you know any by the way? Share if so.
