The monthly charge for curbside recycling services in the City of Vancouver has remained $2.63 per month since 2001. Previously, the City was able to hold the customer charge steady and compensate the collector for increased operating costs through increases to the material sales revenue share provided to the collector. That means your efforts to recycle have generated enough revenue to offset annual rate increases for eight years! This year, however, the contractually allowed inflationary adjustment is being applied to the monthly rate.
