Did King George the Third have a Monarchy or tyranny form of government?

0

The British system of government hasn’t changed much in 300 years. The monarchy in the 18th century had about as much power as it does now – not much at all. It was the elected Parliament and Prime Minister who had all the real power. Americans like to think of their forefathers bravely fighting against a tyrannical King, but in fact this wasn’t the case. George III may have spoken out more than the current Queen but in reality he couldn’t go against the will of Parliament anymore than Elizabeth II can.
