Did life on earth evolve mainly reliant on water and oxygen because they are so abundant?

Water would tend to quickly disassociate any life that formed. Oxygen would tend to destroy and life that formed. That’s partly why I don’t believe in evolution. Without a fully functioning cell wall, and a reproductive mechanism, besides many other things in place for the first cell, it couldn’t happen.

Water is necessary for life on earth because it was there when life started. It provided a good solublility substance for the dispersal of nutrients and waste, it’s polar which helps form membranes of phospholipids, and it was readily abundant. Life only really depends on water because life was developed AROUND the use of water. If the earth started off with some other chemical that had similar properties to water, but wasn’t, it’s entirely possible that life could have evolved markedly similar to life as it is now. Oxygen was actually a problem for the first life, thankfully there wasn’t much of it at the time. Oxygen was a byproduct of chemi- and photosynthetic processes. Its very oxydative in its ionic form and is adept at stealing electrons from surrounding atoms, making them molecularly unstable. Once life evolved safeguards around this (de-ionizing free oxygen) aerobic life flourished. It is at this time unknown if these materials are the only ones that allow life to exist, as th
