Did Milwaukee cops foil GPS?
Squad cars of the Milwaukee P.D., like many in the U.S., have global positioning systems installed on-board. The GPS antennas can be kept from transmitting the cars’ locations by a bit of aluminum foil. Aluminum foil doesn’t wrap itself around antennas. The corporate media reporting this story aren’t accusing civilians of foiling the cop car GPS antennas….So, whodunnit? Unnamed Milwaukee officers are said to believe that the on-board GPS devices help internal affairs keep tabs on them. Why they would think this is a bad thing isn’t divulged. Ironically enough, there will be no internal investigation. Tags: Milwaukee, Milwaukee police, police accountability, law, policy, law enforcement, copwatch.
