Did Occurence of Famines Contradict Gods Promise about Seedtime and Harvest?
The Bible records God promising that the seasons would continue as long as the earth was around. While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease (Genesis 8:22). Existence Of Famines Yet, we find biblical examples of times of famines—when there was no food in the land. There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar (Genesis 26:1). and the seven years of famine began to come, as Joseph had said. The famine was in all lands, but in all the land of Egypt there was bread (Genesis 41:54). Jesus predicted that before He returned, the earth would experience famines. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
