Did Pfizer Inc. pay off Liberal appointed chair of pharmaceutical task force?
Don Avison was appointed as the Canadian representative to Pfizer Inc’s international advisory board earlier this week. He chaired the creation of a very controversial report that was issued to the BC Government that was said to be heavily favoured toward brand-name drug companies. (see story here) Of course the Liberal Health Minister Kevin Falcon doesn’t have any problems with this conflict of interest… “He did a good job, very good job in fact, as chair of the pharmaceutical task force.
