i did a search for you – this was from April this year The minimum age of employment can vary from state to state and company to company. Kids in New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory can work casually or part-time outside school hours at 14 years of age. In Victoria it is 15. In Queensland, under the Child Employment Act children under 16 need parental consent to work and can only work 12 hours during a school week. In Western Australia, kids under 15 need their parents’ consent to work. In Canberra, the recommended minimum age for full-time employment is 15, but it is possible to be employed below 15 for a maximum of 10 hours a week.
