In recent news about the dangers of asbestos exposure, a woman who was exposed to asbestos while working as a dry cleaner, has died of mesothelioma. She was diagnosed with malignant mesothelioma decades after her exposure as a dry cleaner. The woman, who was 71 when she died, had worked for a dry cleaning business never knowing it was exposing her to the asbestos toxin. Her husband told an asbestos attorney: “It is my belief that she came into contact with asbestos while working at a dry cleaners. She shook out workers’ overalls before they were put in the machine and would have breathed in the asbestos at that time." He also pointed out that the other employees were also placed at risk.“There were no protective masks or overalls,” he said.
