Differences between Online Courses and Telecourses or Distance Learning?
Telecourse: requires a book, plus the packet and DVDs (all found in the bookstore). Instructions are in the packet which will outline assignments, due dates and additional assignments. Most telecourses will have weekly assignments, plus a mid-term, final and a research paper. Distance Learning: classes offered via distance learning technology, but taught by one teacher who may or may not travel from site to site.
