Do accountants (exempt employees) working tax season hours get paid for overtime?

GMP “banks” the first 80 hours of overtime and pays you for any overtime in excess of those hours. The hours that accumulate in your bank can be used for additional time off during the year or, if not used, will be paid to you at the end of the year. During the summer, GMP allows its exempt employees to work ½ days on Fridays and deducts the time off from each employee’s overtime bank.
