Do all enzymes have active sites?
Enzymes catalyse (speed up) reactions. The active site is the area found on an enzyme which allows the reaction to happen faster. therefore, by definition, an enzyme without an active site is denatured, meaning it will not catalyse the reaction. To summarise and draw from this, you need to get to grasps with the idea that when an enzyme is in its optimum environment (temperature and pH to suit its needs) it will always have an active site, meaning it is an effective catalyst.
