No there probably won’t be plans in the pipeline for this in the near future. Alliance and Leicester currently use the Monilink service for mobile phones though. If a service like this is offered as an app then it is possible. Also due to current security issues with A&L accounts and the updates being applied to all their systems for online banking it’s doubtful they will set any new services up over the next year. Alliance and Leicester will be moving onto systems currently made use of by Abbey in the next 3-5 months though so if the service is offered by them it may become available in the future Basically a wait an see because everything is up in the air at the moment – but anything is possible.
