No. American Citizens and USA residents (green card holders) don’t need a visa to visit the Dominican Republic. They need a valid passport to enter the island and are only required to purchase a tourist-card (tourist visa) upon arriving to the Dominican Republic airport. The tourist card costs $10.00 US dollars and is good for visiting the country for two months.
