We are aware of the potential for high blood glucose readings among the small number of people with diabetes who are undergoing peritoneal dialysis with EXTRANEAL1 (icodextrin) and using an ACCU-CHEK blood glucose meter. Certain types of intravenous immunoglobulin therapies (such as OCTAGAM 5%) may cause an overestimation of blood glucose results using the ACCU-CHEK blood glucose meter. If you are currently using any of these therapies, do not use an ACCU-CHEK meter to test your blood glucose. Consult your doctor about other options for testing your blood glucose.
