Do babies laugh when they get scared?

I think little babies will usually cry out of fear. Younger children – toddlers and preschoolers will laugh out of fear because they may no know how to express it. My husband got really angry with my son’s friend while we were watching her and yelled and put her in time out – he’s a fairly intimidating guy. She laughed at him and he just about lost it… then her dad told us that she giggles when she’s scared (she was about 3 at the time). My son has done the same thing when he was about that age… now he’s figured out how to express fear.
