Nearly everyone has something that makes them feel safe and comfortable. It could be a place, a special bathrobe, or even the smell of Mom’s chicken casserole. Babies and toddlers are no different. When they become anxious or upset, they look for comfortable, familiar things to help them. And that’s why many babies have security blankets. Lots of people have seen kids with their security blankets. They carry them around protectively, let them drag on the floor, cuddle them close, and rarely give them up to be washed.
