Do black holes actually exist, or are they just some theoretical fantasy?
There is good astrophysical evidence for the existence of black holes from the energy-squandering behavior of quasars and active galactic nuclei, from x-rays emitted from certain binary star systems, and from the high velocities of stars near the center of our own galaxy, which is believed to have a large black hole at its center.
