Directors are reimbursed for reasonable expenses they incur while performing their duties as directors. Elected Board directors are also eligible for compensation. They may waive their right to this compensation or ask the Corporation to pay the compensation to the charity of their choice. Ex-officio (appointed) Board members are not eligible for compensation. They include CIRA’s president/CEO and Industry Canada’s representative.
