Do celebrities get to do check-in and security at the airport in private?
Depends Many carriers, especially in certain airports (LAX and JFK come to mind), have “Special Service” staffers that help speed celebrities and other VIP’s thru airports. They do go thru the same screening as everyone else – just in private. There are also private rooms in airports reserved for dignitaries, movie and sports stars. But those are mainly for the ‘A’ listers. B-list celebs and lower usually go thru the same lines and procedures as everyone else. I see a lot of celebs when working up in A – had Ben Roethlisberger come on board a few months ago and he greeted other passengers with us at the door – a lot tend to keep to themselves. But to answer your questions, LAX is prolly the most sensitive to celebrity needs and they do get private check in.
