there is nothing in a chihuahuas physiology that makes them beneficial to an asthma sufferer, but all dogs have the ability to calm, soothe, raise a persons spirits and just generally make them feel better, which is definitely beneficial to anyone suffering from any ailment, plus i know asthma can be triggered by stress, which dogs help to alleviate.

well my roommate has asthma and we got a chihuahua she feel in the floor went into an asthma attack the dog come running to her and started licking her in the face and she came right out of the attack so i don’t think its a myth i seen it with my own eyes

Chihuahuas shed a lot less, and may not irritate a person with asthma as much. But they don’t *help* people with asthma.
