Do children see ghosts or demons?
Do children see ghosts or demons? Of course, Are they real occurrences or figments of naturally active imaginations? Many trained medical professional have weighed in on this subject and the overwhelming majority say demons, ghosts, imaginary friends or seeing dead relatives are imagined experiences and perfectly normal. OK, but listen to this.
In 1996 our son, who is Aspbergers so was developmentally a little behind his six years reported to us that a new friend had moved into the closet in his bedroom. His name was abc123 good boy bad boy. My wife and I discussed it and decided it was an imaginary playmate that would go away in time. Some problems with our son staying up late and being out of bed to spend time with abc,,,,, arose and on a couple occasions we found food hidden in the closet that had been brought for abc. My wife had also become concerned that abc, 123, good and bad were references to the quiji board a couple of our older kids friends brought over.
My wife decided that abc,,, was probably of evil origins of one kind or another. I was not bothered by abc, he always stayed in the closet or was nowhere to be found. He never to my knowledge advised our son to do anything evil or even mischievous. My wife asked me if I could do something to free us of abc. I am a priesthood holder with experience in blessings and consecrations as they pertain to structures so I promised her I would give it a try. We decided not to tell our son about our plans to make abc leave. I wasn’t sure that imaginary playmates were subject to the powers of priesthood holders but what the heck. After my son went to school and my wife to work I went to the house and blessed some oil and did some prayer and meditation to ready myself to free the house from abc. I ordered by the power of the priesthood and Jesus that abc leave the house.
Since I had never sensed the presence of abc I really had no idea if he paid any attention to me. A couple hours later I picked my son up from school and we headed home. We went in the house and my son walked straight to the living room and intended to turn on the television but I stopped him and said, "Go see what abc, is up too." "He is not in there" my son answered. "Well son, you really don’t know that because you haven’t been in your room, go look" I insisted. "HE IS NOT IN THERE" my son nearly yelled, obviously irritated by my insistence. "How would you know he isn’t in there if you haven’t even looked?" I asked. My son looked me straight in the eye, which is unusual due to his autism and said, "Because he was sitting in the big tree in the backyard when we pulled up."
Then, as now I could feel the little hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Children can sometimes see things we can’t and they can be something more than an overactive imagination.
She is either seeing ghosts which are spirits that have not gone to the otherside (Heaven), spirits which are loved ones that have died and are visiting from the otherside (Heaven) or her spirit guide which kinda like a guardian angel. There is no such thing as demons but the ghost could be a dark entity which is someone that has turned away from God and His love. This is very normal for her to see such things because children are innocent and do not know any better. To rid of it….just tell it to go away. If it’s a spirit guide or spirit they will understand. However, if it is a ghost then tell them that they are dead and go to God’s light. Then every nite just ask God to protect your child with the white light of the Holy Spirit.
