Do chinese people eat chinese food in china?

Yes, but for the most part it’s lot of fish and rice, and little resembles the stuff you find a the corner China Buffet here in the States. The funny thing is, there nothing more American than Chinese food. A lot of the Dim Sum, General Tso Chicken and pork fried rice type of stuff your used to eating was invented by chinese americans who wanted to make food which wasn’t normal meat and potatoes American fare, but would be found palatable by American restaurant goers. You can actually watch some interesting tidbits about this on the American Eats TV show on the History Channel which they replay every so often.
