Chiropractors have Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degrees granted from chiropractic colleges. Chiropractic education and allopathic (M.D., D.O.) education is very similar especially in the basic sciences, and takes the same amount of time to attain. The difference is that Chiropractors do not learn to prescribe drugs or do surgery, and medical doctors do not learn to correct the vertebral subluxation complex (adjust). No. Chiropractors earn degrees from chiropractic colleges. The degree earned is Doctor of Chiropractic – the “D.C.” seen after chiropractors’ names. The education is similar to that of a medical doctor in some respects, different in others. Chiropractors actually have more training when it comes to anatomy and physiology of the body. ... more
