Cloth diapers don’t leak any more than disposables and true, they don’t have the wetness barriar that disposables have but cloth diapers have to be changed a little more often than the disposable diapers because of that. Since the cloth diapers have to be changed more often that means that your baby doesn’t sit in his/her pee as long and therefore there are little or no problems with diaper rash when using cloth diapers. They breathe better than disposables do. As far as bleach goes, DON’T USE IT, either to soak or wash your baby’s diapers. It will break down the cloth fibers and make the diapers wear out earlier than they should as well as add to the possibility of leaking because of that breakdown. The best alternative to bleach for soaking the diapers is white vinegar. It helps to kill the odor causing bacteria in the diaper pail.
