Do Clovis Unified schools have a dress code or uniform requirement?
A. We believe that attention to appearance and a student’s attitude toward self and school are related. Good grooming and appropriateness of attire are a part of learning for both boys and girls. However, we recognize that a student’s mode of dress and grooming is a manifestation of their personal style and individual preference. Therefore, while CUSD does enforce a detailed dress code policy, we do not require students to wear uniforms. Governing Board Policy 2105, “Dress and grooming,” along with its corresponding Administrative Regulation, provides clear guidelines for appropriate dress and grooming for students grades K-12.
