Im doing the same thing as you and i have contacts, looked into it, and all that. What you probably want to do is get a internship at the company of your choice. Usuelly companies will hire you right after your internship is up if they see something usfull in you. If not you still can put that year of internship on your resume as a year of experience. So if its with a good company then your resume looks really good already. Another thing to look at is there are major companies that hire right out of the gates, EA does but they ar game developers and such. Alot of smaller companies do as well. However there are “schools” that companies like Pixar, Dreamworks, EA etc… “sponsor” and they basicly draft your right out of school. Usuelly theese schools advertise when companies do this though. What you need to do is put together your animation portofolio which is a 3 minute or so video that shows off several of your animations.
