I do know some companies have candidates take a personality test for certain job positions, such as Project Managers and Management. I don’t have any personal knowledge of companies qualifying or disqualifying candidates solely based on personality type. I would hope that doesn’t happen because the more important thing to measure is the candidate’s emotional intelligence (EI). We don’t have our own test for that, but I know EI tests exist and that would be better information to know. No matter what personality, a candidate with a high EI will be a better performer than a person with a low EI. Q: I have used personality styles quite successfully over the years for one-on-ones.
