Do Cows Eat Carrots or Other Veggies ?

0

Cows can eat carrots and most vegetables and fruits. Not only can they eat them but they enjoy them very much and produce well if given a steady diet of them. If you travel in the northern Midwest about this time of the year you will see stacks of shredded pumpkins for sale as cattle feed. If you are feeding milk cows, you do need to be careful not to feed them certain vegetables as they will give the milk an unpleasant taste.

Cows *love* onions. And if you send the cows out to pasture in the spring, and there’s some wild onions growing there, you’ll taste it in the milk tomorrow.
