Doctors of chiropractic (DCs) do not prescribe drugs or advocate the position that drugs are the answer to all problems. A natural approach is preferred, if safe and effective, to allow the body to recover without the use of risky chemicals. However, a DC will not hesitate to refer a patient to the appropriate health care professional when a patient would benefit from medication or another intervention. Back to top.
