Do emergency text pages take priority over routine paging?
Probably not. Nothing in the Centers system distinguishes one message from another from the software point-of-view. Each carrier has a “gateway” into its network through which our software routes a text page, and some carriers claim this gateway expedites the text page through the network. No carrier, however, has suggested or promised “priority service” in handling text pages sent from the Center.
