Do Fm radio disc jockeys realize how much their formats Zuck?
Some do, some don’t. In either case, format is usually handed down by whatever large, corporate entity owns the station. This means that the DJ has very little (read: zero) control over what music gets played. So If they want their job, they will just announce whatever they are told to announce and be happy they have a job at all. Sorry, it sounds mean, but that’s often how it is, these days anyway. Exception: College radio, some public stations, and even a, very few, independently owned radio stations will allow their DJs to choose what they play. In that case, if the format “Zuck”s, then it is the DJs fault.
