Do golden retrievers mind cities?

0

All dogs need outdoor spaces and aren’t interested in traffic and crowds. For that reason, many city dwellers choose not to adopt a puppy until they can move out to the countryside. However, depending on your particular circumstances, many dogs don’t mind cities at all. I live in Chicago and own golden retrievers, who are very happy here. However, I live on a quiet street with a backyard and live within a couple of minutes of a large dog park.

If you’re living in a cramped apartment, then golden retrievers might not be happy. They need a good two hours of exercise each day and space to play in. Before you adopt a dog of any kind, I recommend that you read this golden retriever puppies Chicago guide. This is obviously about Chicago but the advice can apply to almost any city on Earth. Just think about what you personally can provide your dog to make it happy.
