Do GranitiFiandre materials have post-consumer waste content?

0

No. However, since all of our materials are chemically inert, they can safely be used as stable fill for construction sites and ground material for road beds, which reduces the need for quarried gravel. The durable nature of our materials makes it difficult to reclaim at a quality level necessary to be reused in production. To do so would actually require much more energy and natural resources than production of the original material. Manufacturers of some materials, such as carpet, recycle post-consumer wastes back into a marketable product. But the environmental soundness of this process is questionable because of the high levels of chemicals, acids, and bonding agents required to reconstitute the reclaimed materials into a usable product. Post-consumer waste is material that is reclaimed after consumer installation and use, then recycled back into new production.
