Do guppys lay eggs or do the just give birth to baby fish?
guppies , plattys , swoedtails, and mollies are all livebears livebears = they give birth to live baby fish it’s best to have some type of plants in the tank whether they be live or artifical doesnt matter which ones you choose both work fine the reason for the plants is so the baby fish aslso called “fry” can hide in the plants for protection so the adult fish don’t eat them it’s very hard to spot a newely born guppy unless you’ve seen them lots of times as the best way to tell you have new babies is to remember that you will see eyes they babies are transparent at first (no color) actually seeing a guppy giving birth is just awsome i try to see if i can see the birthing process when i know one of my females are in labor if you watch your female when she’s close to delivering she’ll quit eating she’ll still go up at the top like she normally does but she will refuse to eat
