Do ham radio operators have to send Morse code?

0

The Federal Communications Commission no longer requires ham operators to use Morse code and eliminated testing on it as of February 23, 2007. All three license classes–Technician, General and Extra–can be acquired through a written exam. Previously, only the Technician’s license could be acquired without an additional test for Morse code.Source:1. Radio Exam: Exam Practice for US FCC Amateur Radio Licensing2.
