No, you don't have to, but it's especially nice with moisturizing the skin. You can try making a batch of bath salts without the glycerin in one jar, and then you can try making some with the few teaspoons of glycerin in another to compare. Combine it with a bath bomb and you will feel the difference in softness of your skin! more
