Do I have to become EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) certified to work for Guilford County Emergency Services?

Yes, Guilford County Emergency Services conducts its own Paramedic academy but EMT-Basic certification is the minimum qualification for employment. In addition to the EMT certification, all employees must have a valid operator’s license and be CPR certified. All of our full time employee’s are either certified at the Paramedic level or are in training to attain that certification.
