Do I have to remove staples, paper clips, rubber bands and binder clips?

There is no need to remove any staples, paper clips, rubber bands or binder clips. Our shredders can shred through these items plus a lot more. However, just because we can shred it doesn’t mean we will. All our shredded paper is 100% recycled. Consequently, we try to sort and eliminate as much foreign materials as possible before shredding. It’s much easier to get this stuff out before shredding than after! These foreign materials include: x-rays, three ring binders, cardboard, and other miscellaneous plastics, metals, and non-paper items.
