The standard GM instructions require a lengthy and relatively complex installation requiring removal of the center console, the Nav unit, the glove box, the instrument cluster bezel, the knee bolster, and an underdash panel. A custom wiring harness is available to instead install the PAL module at the XM receiver location which is readily accessible. This installation can be done in as little a 5-10 minutes.
