Applicants to BA(Hons) Fine Art will need to have studied Art & Design to Foundation level or equivalent, or have significant experience of exhibiting their art work. Though our literature indicates that those with lower qualifications may apply for many of our Art & Design programmes, you should be aware that the vast majority of our applicants have completed a Foundation or equivalent, or are studying for one at the time of application. This provides steep competition for those without a similar qualification. The Foundation year, or concentrated study in Art & Design at that level, gives applicants the opportunity to develop their work substantially, and consider their direction within the field of Art & Design.
