Yes. You must have IRB approval before we will distribute DNA samples/plasma samples/buffy coat samples derived from human subjects from the tissue bank. Because the brain tissue samples have been obtained from autopsy specimens (not technically considered human subjects), IRB approval is not required for distribution of these samples.
