Do I need to have a background in Earth science or climatology to undertake the programme?
No because the programme is multi-disciplinary, we hope to attract candidates from a wide range of scientific backgrounds. The systems approach calls upon students to think ‘outside the box’ and understand the interlinkages between physical, chemical and biological disciplines. The programme has a strong emphasis on data handling and mathematical modelling, so good numeracy skills are important.
