Do I need to have a diagnostic, 2D ultrasound performed by my prenatal care provider before coming in to PreView Imaging Centers?
Yes, PreView Imaging Centers strongly suggest that all clients have a diagnostic medical ultrasound (fetal survey) from their obstetrician before coming in for a scan. These are typically performed during weeks 18-22 of your pregnancy. PIC provides reassuring ultrasound images of your baby. These are not performed as a diagnostic medical ultrasound of your baby, although our sonographer is highly trained and capable. Our service should never be considered a substitute for any ultrasounds that may have been recommended by your doctor.
