It is a legal requirement in Greece to wear a helmet whilst on a scooter, moped or motorcycle. If you have an accident and you are not wearing your helmet you may invalidate your travel insurance. Scooteraki will provide you with a helmet.

Wearing the helmet is a must in Greece and all countries from European Union. It doesn’t matter if the scooter is designed for one or two seats. As long as you’re driving an electric scooter, a moped or motorcycle, you must wear a helmet. Otherwise, you risk paying a pretty expensive fee. For example, when I traveled to Spain and rented a car, I forgot to mention that I needed a car seat for my toddler and I had to pay a fee of €500. Obviously, the fees vary from one country to another, but I would obey the law if I were you.
