No, you can have either a civil marriage or a church marriage. You can have an Anglican or Catholic Church wedding, either at St Georges Chapel or St Paul’s Pillar. It is also possible to have a religious ceremony at some hotel locations, please ask us for details. Please note that couples who elect to have a Catholic wedding ceremony must by law also have a civil ceremony. This can take place at one of the Town Halls. A civil ceremony is not required for those couples having an Anglican Church Service. Is the ceremony in English? What ever type of wedding you choose, the ceremony will always be conducted in English. Can we choose the date and time of our wedding?
