Do Journalism majors have to read the newspaper every day?

0

We assume Journalism majors are interested in the media and current events, and we expect you to know what’s going on in the world and to be conversant in the major issues of the day. Whether you get that news from newspapers, radio, television or the internet is up to you, but you should be in the habit of getting your news from at least one mainstream news source. Keep in mind that some required Journalism courses do focus on newspapers so you should be familiar with at least one major newspaper such as The New York Times, The Washington Post or The Boston Globe. These newspapers are available online. And always read the Massachusetts Daily Collegian!
