No they don’t under British Government rules, and neither do adults, but two airlines like to differ. Easyjet and Ryanair both sometimes insist on passports for adults for domestic flights. Children of 2 and 4 do not need passports for domestic or foreign flights but should be included on your own. Belfast is within the Common Travel Area in which passports are not required by law for travel to any part of UK, Republic of Ireland,IOM,and the Channel Islands. I travel from IOM all over Britain, to Galway and Kerry, London and Jersey, with an IOM bus pass, but I don’t use Ryanair for domestic flights.
